As the second phase of the larger complex that includes retail shops, cinemas, food courts and parking spaces, the Far Eastern Mega Tower is a 50 story, 213-meter tall office tower overlooking the new Banqiao Civic Plaza that faces the train station. It will become the landmark building dominating the New Banqiao District once it is completed.

Rising up from a forest of neighboring towers, the skyscraper takes a curved form in order to gain a panoramic view towards the grand civic plaza. On the lower levels, sky bridges are designed to connect the adjacent buildings at multiple levels. The podium is connected to the Phase One retail and parking levels horizontally. On the top of the tower, taking advantage of the building’s soaring height, are atrium restaurants with excellent views of the city.

The exterior glazed curtainwall system incorporates principles for energy efficiency through many ways, including the use of deep metal sunshades. Structurally the tower is designed as a tube-in-tube system with bracings attached to the inner tube system for optimal seismic performance.
