Fuhua Central Plaza is about 38 meters wide and 128 meters high. It is the landmark on Linkou’s main road, Wenhua 2nd Road. The pure and simple form expresses the urban image of the young city. With the modern appearance of a classic commercial building, Fuhua Central Plaza aims to promote Linkou’s commercial activities and to improve its urban landscape.
The building façade emphasizes the vertical extension. The width of the vertical aluminum panels varies gradually from 40cm to 1 meter, repeated every 5 stories. It results the subtle curve of the decorative panel, forming the intriguing façade. The parapet walls continue the curtain wall system, visually extending the building height, and cleverly hiding the roof protrusions and mechanical rooms. The embedded LED strips on top illuminates the vertical panels at night, making contribution to the urban skyline.
Outdoor open space is surrounded by array of trees to form a comfortable pedestrian and recreational space. It slows down the pace of passing by, creating the conversation between people and the city. The interior of public lobby adapts metal and glass to express the modernity of commercial office building. However, the integration of wood elements in details brings in the human scale sense and warm touch.
