With lush green hills surrounded its three sides, the College of Sounds and Image Arts nestles its main tower and wedge-shaped podium in the valley, with only its west side open to the main campus. To further integrate into its natural surroundings, the roof of the podium, angled at a 1:6 ratio, is completely covered with soil and grass. The interior spaces underneath remain cool and comfortable as the green roof serves as a buffer to the intensive heat of southern Taiwan.

Two architecture masses protrude from the slope. The lower mass houses a movie theater, and the taller mass overlooking the nearby reservoir accommodates offices and research rooms. Courtyards of varying sizes are carved into the podium, providing light and ventilation for the lower levels and offering informal gathering spaces for students.

The dormitory complex set into the southern hill is designed as another wedge-shaped building with a 1:3 slope, providing terraces for each dormitory unit. In front of the dormitory building is a circular common room, with the same size and shape as the entry plaza to represent a cut out of the main building.
