Located at the border of Luodong Township, the Luodong Government Center is composed of a group of unusually open buildings, which will facilitate six administrative functions. Adjacent to the site is the Forestry Culture Park. The concept behind the project takes on the imagery of stacked wooden planks, with interactions between solids and voids forming along the undulating volumes.
The Center is mainly comprised of seven linear north-south facing buildings, each configured according to its functions. There are footbridges and spaces connecting the various linear building for functional purposes. The building at the center of the complex has a raised, open-air ground level that serves as a public plaza and doubles as the main route leading to the Forestry Culture Park, while exhibition spaces dotted throughout the site are available for an array of creative uses by the public. Green roofs adorn the tops of all the buildings, creating a dialogue with the nearby Forestry Culture Park. In addition to its administrative and public service functions, the center will also serve as an extension of the neighboring Forestry Culture Park, providing a diverse, user-friendly space for all visitors.
